Sandra Wortzel
Ner Tamid (personal mission statement):
Listening, loving heart... always ready to uplift
Sandra Wortzel is an ordained Rabbinic Pastor & Mashpi’ah Ruchanit (Jewish Spiritual Director) through ALEPH Alliance for Jewish Renewal. Sandra has studied and practiced Mussar since 2007 and has more recently trained with CCM for two years with the Rabbi cohort and as a Madricha. She has served in many capacities within the ALEPH Ordination Programs and strongly believes in Mussar as a foundation for Jewish leadership and learning. She continues to serve as a mashpiah for ALEPH AOP students, integrating Mussar into spiritual direction.
She enjoys incorporating the things she knows and loves: Jewish Renewal, Expressive Arts, Hashpa’ah and Mussar with her own evolving experiences through art-making. She encourages others to express their yearnings through the arts in spiritual direction, creative life cycle rituals, and workshops/retreats uniting spirituality, the arts and nature. She lives in the redwoods of the Mendocino California Coast, with her husband Kenny and their golden retriever Zushya.
